NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top machinery companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Caterpillar fell $.53 or .6 percent, to $85.43.

Deere & Co. fell $.05 or .1 percent, to $82.78.

Manitowoc rose $.30 or 2.2 percent, to $14.13.

Terex rose $.28 or 1.2 percent, to $23.86.
