Baxter International Inc. rose $.58 or .9 percent, to $61.75.

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. rose $.13 or .4 percent, to $33.69.

Hospira fell $.30 or .9 percent, to $33.50.

Johnson & Johnson rose $.27 or .4 percent, to $69.27.

Eli Lilly & Co. rose $.45 or .9 percent, to $48.76.

Merck rose $.34 or .7 percent, to $46.12.

Pfizer rose $.03 or .1 percent, to $25.35.
