Kroger fell $.02 or .1 percent, to $23.77.

Safeway rose $.23 or 1.4 percent, to $16.25.

Supervalu fell $.02 or .9 percent, to $2.25.

Whole Foods Market Inc. rose $.27 or .3 percent, to $98.45.
