Aflac Inc. fell $.16 or .3 percent, to $47.44.

American International Group rose $.22 or .7 percent, to $33.48.

MBIA rose $.03 or .3 percent, to $10.28.

MGIC Investments Corp. rose $.02 or 1.1 percent, to $1.83.

MetLife fell $.07 or .2 percent, to $34.26.

XL Group PLC rose $.12 or .5 percent, to $24.42.
