NC event guides on selling military gear to UK

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina businesses that make military gear can find new markets overseas if they follow the right regulations.

The North Carolina Military Business Center and a British-based investment group are holding a seminar in Raleigh on Thursday to help companies sell to foreign armies.

This event aims to help businesses understand U.S. laws governing the export of defense products. The training will also address import regulations in the United Kingdom governing U.S. sales to Great Britain's Ministry of Defense.

The seminar is also offering information on how U.S. businesses can establish a permanent presence in the U.K., including the funding and support available to help companies set up an overseas office.
