Amgen Inc. rose $.74 or .9 percent, to $84.19.

Biogen Idec fell $1.05 or .7 percent, to $150.56.

Celgene Corp. rose $.62 or .8 percent, to $76.70.

Gilead Sciences Inc. rose $.57 or .9 percent, to $66.63.
