Baxter International Inc. rose $.40 or .7 percent, to $60.23.

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. rose $.19 or .6 percent, to $33.85.

Hospira fell $.24 or .7 percent, to $33.19.

Johnson & Johnson rose $.01 or percent, to $69.01.

Eli Lilly & Co. rose $.44 or .9 percent, to $47.64.

Merck rose $.22 or .5 percent, to $45.23.

Pfizer rose $.13 or .5 percent, to $24.96.
