ACE L rose $.32 or .4 percent, to $75.53.

Aflac Inc. rose $1.07 or 2.3 percent, to $47.72.

American International Group rose $.45 or 1.4 percent, to $33.20.

MBIA rose $.07 or .7 percent, to $10.26.

MGIC Investments Corp. rose $.09 or 6.3 percent, to $1.53.

MetLife rose $.50 or 1.5 percent, to $34.49.

XL Group PLC rose $.13 or .5 percent, to $24.07.
