General Electric Co. rose $.13 or .6 percent, to $22.23.

Snap-On fell $.03 or percent, to $70.33.

Stanley Works fell $.14 or .2 percent, to $74.74.

Whirlpool Corp. rose $.11 or .1 percent, to $81.95.
