BP PLC rose $.45 or 1.1 percent, to $42.82.

Chevron rose $.72 or .6 percent, to $117.02.

ConocoPhillips rose $.30 or .5 percent, to $57.31.

Exxon Mobil Corp. rose $.31 or .3 percent, to $91.54.

Marathon Oil Corp. rose $.34 or 1.1 percent, to $29.91.
