Del. residents eligible for mortgage settlements

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — The state Attorney General's Office says more than 2,300 Delaware residents may be eligible for up to $2,000 as part of a national mortgage foreclosure settlement.

Officials say forms were mailed Wednesday to those who may be eligible for the payments.

Borrowers who lost homes to foreclosure between Jan. 1, 2008 and Dec. 31, 2011 could receive the payments if their mortgage was serviced by Ally/GMAC; Bank of America Corp.; Citi; JPMorgan Chase & Co.; or Wells Fargo & Co.

The deadline for claims is Jan. 18, 2013. Payments are expected to be made in mid-2013.
