Kohl's Corp. rose $.39 or .8 percent, to $51.57.

Macy's Inc. rose $.12 or .3 percent, to $37.87.

Nordstrom rose $.11 or .2 percent, to $55.01.

J.C. Penney Co. rose $.05 or .2 percent, to $24.72.

Saks fell $.11 or 1.0 percent, to $10.43.

Sears Holdings Corp. fell $.74 or 1.3 percent, to $54.52.

TJX Companies rose $.61 or 1.4 percent, to $44.67.
