Hospira fell $.49 or 1.4 percent, to $34.14.

Johnson & Johnson fell $.13 or .2 percent, to $68.94.

Eli Lilly & Co. fell $.11 or .2 percent, to $47.35.

Merck rose $.17 or .4 percent, to $45.08.

Pfizer rose $.19 or .8 percent, to $24.71.
