NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are down at 1 p.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. fell $1.06 or 2.5 percent, to $41.80.

Gold Fields fell $.07 or .5 percent, to $13.19.

GoldCorp. fell $1.20 or 2.6 percent, to $45.73.

Newmont Mining Corp. fell $.91 or 1.6 percent, to $55.40.
