NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top machinery companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Caterpillar fell $.85 or .9 percent, to $90.87.

Deere & Co. rose $.25 or .3 percent, to $82.95.

Manitowoc fell $.11 or .8 percent, to $14.14.

Terex fell $.27 or 1.1 percent, to $23.42.
