Nevada OKs online gaming licenses for WMS
WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) — WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc., said Thursday that Nevada state officials have approved it for gaming licenses that will allow it to partner with casino operators and provide online poker games in that state.
The Waukegan, Ill.-based gaming equipment company said the Nevada Gaming Commission unanimously approved it for both an interactive gaming manufacturer license and a service provider license.
Nevada is the first state to develop a regulatory framework for online poker and award statewide online gaming licenses, WMS said.
WMS shares fell 8 cents to $16.22 in afternoon trading.
