NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are down at 10 a.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. fell $.77 or 1.8 percent, to $41.97.

Gold Fields fell $.29 or 2.1 percent, to $13.25.

GoldCorp. fell $1.01 or 2.2 percent, to $45.87.

Newmont Mining Corp. fell $.69 or 1.2 percent, to $56.16.
