NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top coal companies are down at 10 a.m.:

Arch Coal fell $.30 or 4.1 percent, to $7.02.

Consol Energy Inc. fell $.86 or 2.7 percent, to $30.72.

Peabody Energy fell $1.10 or 4.4 percent, to $23.70.
