NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

Arlington Asset Inv : Approximately 415,500 shares changed hands, a 384.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.24 or 1.0 percent to $24.91.

Delaware Investments Dividend & Income Fund : Approximately 114,400 shares changed hands, a 494.3 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.03 or .4 percent to $8.26.

Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd. : Approximately 4,523,400 shares changed hands, a 877.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.12 or 25.5 percent to $.59.

First Acceptance Corp. : Approximately 36,400 shares changed hands, a 566.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.03 or 2.5 percent to $1.24.

Forest City Enterprises Inc. class A : Approximately 2,794,800 shares changed hands, a 412.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.03 or .2 percent to $16.80.
