NEW YORK (AP) — Monsanto Co. shares got a boost from Goldman Sachs Wednesday and rose to their highest level in more than three years.
Goldman added Monsanto to its "Conviction Buy" list, saying it is confident the agricultural products company should see increased demand for its products.
Monsanto shares gained $2.34, or 2.6 percent, to $91.40 in afternoon trading. They rose as high as $91.75, a price last reached in May of 2009. Monsanto is up about 30 percent so far this year.
