Hospira fell $.15 or .4 percent, to $35.15.

Johnson & Johnson rose $.31 or .5 percent, to $68.86.

Eli Lilly & Co. rose $.11 or .2 percent, to $47.02.

Merck rose $.55 or 1.2 percent, to $44.63.

Pfizer rose $.27 or 1.1 percent, to $24.28.
