Kellogg rose $.67 or 1.3 percent, to $50.97.

Kraft Foods Inc. rose $.48 or 1.2 percent, to $40.91.

Smithfield Foods Inc. fell $.01 or percent, to $20.20.

J.M. Smucker Co. rose $.35 or .4 percent, to $86.97.

Tyson Foods Inc. rose $.25 or 1.5 percent, to $16.67.
