Grains futures rise, beef prices fall
CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures rose Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery rose 18 cents to $8.8150 a bushel; December corn rose 16.50 cents to $7.5650 a bushel; December oats added 1.75 cent to $3.7575 a bushel; while November soybeans jumped 29.50 cents to $16.6950 a bushel.
Beef futures fell, while pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle slipped 0.05 cent to $1.2635 a pound; October feeder cattle fell 0.37 cent to $1.47 a pound; while October lean hogs rose 0.65 cent to 74.75 cents a pound.
