Kohl's Corp. rose $.38 or .7 percent, to $53.46.

Macy's Inc. rose $.54 or 1.4 percent, to $39.04.

Nordstrom rose $.53 or .9 percent, to $56.86.

J.C. Penney Co. rose $.03 or .1 percent, to $29.09.

Saks rose $.07 or .6 percent, to $11.21.

Sears Holdings Corp. rose $.60 or 1.0 percent, to $61.60.

TJX Companies fell $.05 or .1 percent, to $45.29.
