ASU wins journalism grants totaling $8.2 million

PHOENIX (AP) — Arizona State University's journalism school has won two grants totaling $8.2 million aimed at improving coverage of business and economics.

The grants to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication come from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.

One grant for $6.2 million will continue the work of a business journalism center that bears Donald W. Reynolds' name and has operated at Arizona State since 2006.

A second grant for $2 million will set up a permanent endowment for a visiting professorship in business journalism.
