Aflac Inc. fell $.20 or .4 percent, to $49.46.

American International Group fell $.19 or .5 percent, to $34.83.

MBIA fell $.09 or .8 percent, to $11.66.

MGIC Investments Corp. rose $.03 or 1.5 percent, to $1.69.

MetLife fell $.39 or 1.1 percent, to $35.87.

XL Group PLC fell $.06 or .2 percent, to $24.62.
