NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top machinery companies were down at the close of trading:

Caterpillar fell $1.18 or 1.3 percent, to $91.99.

Deere & Co. fell $.98 or 1.2 percent, to $81.02.

Manitowoc fell $.34 or 2.3 percent, to $14.49.

Terex fell $1.18 or 4.6 percent, to $24.37.
