NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are up at 10 a.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.97 or 2.3 percent, to $42.60.

Gold Fields rose $.26 or 2.0 percent, to $13.15.

GoldCorp. rose $.96 or 2.1 percent, to $46.37.

Newmont Mining Corp. rose $1.48 or 2.7 percent, to $56.93.
