New York Times Co. fell $.06 or .6 percent, to $9.49.

News Corp. fell $.05 or .2 percent, to $24.55.

Time Warner Inc. rose $.04 or .1 percent, to $43.08.

Viacom Inc. rose $.14 or .3 percent, to $52.31.
