NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

American International Group : Approximately 230,130,000 shares changed hands, a 1,740.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.15 or .5 percent to $33.45.

American Realty Investors Inc. : Approximately 11,000 shares changed hands, a 595.3 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.28 or 11.7 percent to $2.67.

Demandware Inc. : Approximately 1,421,700 shares changed hands, a 818.3 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.52 or 1.8 percent to $28.97.

El Paso Pipeline Partners LP : Approximately 6,894,800 shares changed hands, a 1,958.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.71 or 2.0 percent to $34.77.

Gray Television A : Approximately 6,300 shares changed hands, a 1,040.9 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.06 or 3.6 percent to $1.74.

Haverty Furniture Cos. class A : Approximately 2,900 shares changed hands, a 804.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.11 or .8 percent to $13.40.
