Baxter International Inc. rose $.37 or .6 percent, to $59.70.

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. rose $.42 or 1.3 percent, to $33.56.

Hospira rose $.12 or .4 percent, to $34.29.

Johnson & Johnson rose $.02 or percent, to $68.20.

Eli Lilly & Co. fell $.03 or .1 percent, to $46.49.

Merck rose $.07 or .2 percent, to $44.33.

Pfizer rose $.07 or .3 percent, to $24.17.
