Grains futures mostly rise, livestock prices fall

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain prices mostly rose Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery rose 10.25 cents to $8.78 a bushel; December corn rose 4.50 cents to $7.9525 a bushel; December oats were unchanged at $3.87 a bushel; while November soybeans rose 4 cents to $17.5150 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle fell 0.22 cent to $1.2610 a pound; October feeder cattle fell 0.40 cent to $1.4672 a pound; while October lean hogs fell 0.77 cent to 72.85 cents a pound.
