Ford Motor Co. rose $.09 or 1.0 percent, to $9.43.

General Motors Co. fell $.18 or .8 percent, to $21.17.

Honda Motor Co. fell $.38 or 1.2 percent, to $31.51.

Toyota Motor Corp. fell $1.04 or 1.3 percent, to $78.58.
