NEW YORK (AP) — Consulting and professional services firm Marsh & McLennan on Tuesday named Michael Bischoff its chief financial officer, effective immediately.
Bischoff was interim CFO since March. Before that he was responsible for leading and directing the company's corporate development, mergers & acquisitions, treasury and investor relations functions.
He joined Marsh in 1982.
Bischoff succeeds Vanessa A. Wittman, who left the company at the end of February to join Google Inc.
Shares of Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. fell 6 cents to close at $34.11.
