Capital One Financial Corp. rose $1.23 or 2.2 percent, to $56.86.

Discover Financial Services rose $.60 or 1.6 percent, to $38.70.

Mastercard rose $2.71 or .6 percent, to $421.04.

Visa Inc. fell $.35 or .3 percent, to $126.80.
