Hawaii Tourism Authority holds annual conference
HONOLULU (AP) — Global marketing plans are on the agenda at Hawaii's tourism agency's annual conference this week.
The Hawaii Tourism Authority's regional marketing contractors are presenting their plans for the upcoming year to industry professionals at the Hawaii Convention Center.
On Friday, the contractors will discuss their strategies to draw travelers from China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Europe to the islands.
U.S. Department of Commerce Assistant Secretary Nicole Lamb-Hale will talk about the Obama administration's national travel and tourism strategy.
