NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

Big Lots : Approximately 15,182,800 shares changed hands, a 1,287.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $8.08 or 20.8 percent to $30.76.

Dex One Corp. : Approximately 1,484,800 shares changed hands, a 409.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.09 or 5.5 percent to $1.74.

Forest City Enterprises Inc. class B : Approximately 2,000 shares changed hands, a 419.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.20 or 1.3 percent to $14.73.

GSE Holding Inc. : Approximately 284,100 shares changed hands, a 435.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.08 or .9 percent to $8.36.

Gazit-Globe Ltd. : Approximately 103,700 shares changed hands, a 588.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.32 or 3.4 percent to $9.80.

General Growth Properties Inc. : Approximately 43,555,700 shares changed hands, a 1,084.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $1.80 or 9.7 percent to $20.32.

Guess Inc. : Approximately 13,149,900 shares changed hands, a 745.6 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $7.59 or 22.6 percent to $25.95.

Sunrise Senior Living Inc. : Approximately 10,494,800 shares changed hands, a 891.3 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.02 or .1 percent to $14.24.

Tilly's Inc. : Approximately 706,700 shares changed hands, a 410.9 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $1.54 or 9.3 percent to $18.12.

Whitestone REIT : Approximately 1,588,500 shares changed hands, a 3,301.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.58 or 4.3 percent to $12.76.
