NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top oil companies were mixed at the close of trading:

BP PLC fell $.39 or .9 percent, to $42.25.

Chevron fell $.86 or .8 percent, to $111.29.

ConocoPhillips fell $.52 or .9 percent, to $56.16.

Exxon Mobil Corp. fell $.42 or .5 percent, to $87.31.

Marathon Oil Corp. rose $.02 or .1 percent, to $27.70.
