NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top machinery companies were down at the close of trading:

Caterpillar fell $1.09 or 1.2 percent, to $87.63.

Deere & Co. fell $.91 or 1.2 percent, to $76.12.

Manitowoc fell $.38 or 2.9 percent, to $12.71.

Terex fell $.73 or 3.4 percent, to $20.69.
