Citrix, which provides remote access through various technologies, plans to add almost 340 jobs in Raleigh, N.C. over the next five years while investing $12.5 million.
Gov. Beverly Perdue said Thursday that Citrix received a state grant for the project.
In October 2011, Citrix acquired a Raleigh-based technology company called ShareFile, which allowed it to form the data sharing division of the company. It now employs 130 people in Raleigh and more than 7,000 worldwide.
If Citrix meets the agreed-upon targets and sustains them for 12 years, the state grant could yield almost $9 million in maximum benefits.
