Walt Disney Co. rose $.01 or percent, to $47.10.

Gannett fell $.07 or .5 percent, to $12.90.

New York Times Co. rose $.15 or 2.2 percent, to $6.82.

News Corp. rose $.06 or .3 percent, to $20.32.

Time Warner Inc. rose $.73 or 2.0 percent, to $37.15.

Viacom Inc. rose $.28 or .5 percent, to $53.00.
