COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The firm Encore Container is investing $3.9 million in a new manufacturing and corporate headquarters in Greenville, S.C. that is expected to create 89 jobs.

CEO Chad Odom says the firm is opening an 80,000-square-foot headquarters, manufacturing site and recycling facility.

The firm produces 55-gallon plastic drums and 275-gallon containers. It also cleans, reconditions and recycles such equipment.

South Carolina Secretary of Commerce Secretary Bobby Hitt says the announcement is a boost to both the manufacturing and recycling business in the state.
