Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.42 or 1.1 percent, to $39.93.

Gold Fields rose $.07 or .5 percent, to $13.22.

GoldCorp. rose $.44 or 1.2 percent, to $37.88.

Newmont Mining Corp. rose $.18 or .4 percent, to $48.81.
