Broken Headbone 4.28.97 In 1997, former Microsoft Corp. executive SUSAN LAMMERS was collecting accolades--and $4.2 million in venture capital--for Headbone Interactive Inc., her Seattle children's-software startup. But competition was tough. By 1999, with the money running out, Lammers--who declined to be interviewed--bowed out as CEO, and Headbone folded in October, 2000. Its assets were sold to a rival.
