BUSINESS WEEK E.BIZ -- NET WORTH

Critical Numbers of the Month (.pdf)

This statistical look at e-business during the past month contains a chart and two tables.

The chart, "The IPO Window Is Open a Crack," plots the change in the number of IPOs offered and the amount of cash they've raised from January, 1999, through August, 2000.

The first table, "Cash Crunch," lists five tech companies whose cash is running short, with data on how much cash is on hand, how much was used last quarter, and how many days are left til the cash is depleted.

The second table. "Who's Short?" lists five tech companies that investors are short-selling, with data on how many shares of each are short-sold now and how many days are needed to cover the position based on average daily volume.
