You've Come a Long Way, Maybe No? Why Not?
Common reasons women don't get as much venture capital as men:
-- Women favor service and retail companies, which aren't attractive to VC firms
-- They ask for less money than men, so potential returns aren't high enough
-- Women are less familiar with the rules of the VC game
-- It's an Old Boy network: VCs depend on referrals, and most VCs are men
-- Too many male VCs still don't take women seriously
