A User's Guide to P3P

WHAT IS P3P?
Software that tells a Net user what kind of personal data a Web site collects.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
First, you tell P3P which personal data you want to release. Then, upon entering a site, you are alerted if the site wants more-- and what it will do with the info if you cough it up.

HOW DOES A USER GET P3P?
It will be added to certain browsers at no cost, and users will also be able to download it for free off the Web.
