Lloyd George Asset Management
Adaline Ko manages $210 million for Lloyd George Management in Hong Kong. Smart investors, she says, have a feel "for the intangibles."

ON REGIONAL MARKETS:
I focus on Hong Kong, China, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan. There is no need to go into the smaller markets. Look at the political problems in the Philippines and Indonesia. But I'm overweight in cash. The markets aren't going straight up from here.

ON WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
In the next six months, it's U.S. interest rates. If they are peaking, then we should see strong Asian markets in the next year.

HER FAVORITES:
I like [Hong Kong conglomerate] Hutchison Whampoa because it's poised to grow through its container terminals, telecoms, and Internet service. It has great management. Hutchison has been in my portfolio for years. I just keep buying more. And I like Taiwan Semiconductor; its earnings-per-share growth could be 80% this year.
