COLLEGE GRANTSAlumni or foundations sometimes fund grants at specific schools. Curry College in Milton, Mass., awards $500 a year to a dozen students. Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y., divvies up $10,000 a year from the S.H. & Helen R. Scheuer Family Foundation in New York. Also check out New York's Lotte Kaliski Foundation. STATE AGENCIES State vocational and rehabilitation offices that disburse federal funds to help the disabled return to work may provide aid to LD students. Criteria vary from state to state, as do the agencies' names. Students apply through their vocational rehab representatives or through their nearest agency office. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ BACK TO TOP |
