WHERE TO INVEST -- STRATEGIES FOR STOCKS

ON STOCKS: We have positive news on three key policy variables. The Fed has restored price stability. The U.S.-China trade pact is positive for global trade. And while tax rates may not be falling, they're not going up.

ON THE FED: The Fed's concern that growth causes inflation is wrong. Stable prices permit high growth. But if the Fed raises rates, it will be to maintain price stability.

ON DOW 100,000: I expect it around 2020. But it's really a metaphor for the great prosperity ahead. The big risk is being mesmerized by the short term and not seeing this long-term opportunity.
